Site Survey

Site Survey & Installation Planning

At The Worcestershire Door Company, we know that perfect windows and doors require the perfect fit. That’s why our site survey stage is one of the most important steps in our process. A professional site survey ensures your new windows and doors are measured accurately, planned correctly, and installed without delays or surprises.

As trusted window and door installers in Worcestershire, we’ve carried out hundreds of surveys for homeowners, architects, and developers. Whether you’re replacing a single door or specifying products for a new build development, we're a local window and door company that takes the time to get every detail right.

Our Professional Site Survey Process

1. Pre-Survey Consultation

Before we arrive, we confirm your chosen window and door designs, styles, and finishes so we know exactly what to measure and plan for.

2. On-Site Measurements‍

Our surveyor visits your property and uses professional tools to take precise measurements of every window and door opening.

3. Technical Checks‍

We inspect walls, openings, and lintels, making sure your new products will be structurally supported and compliant with regulations.

4. Installation Planning‍

We plan how our team will install your windows and doors efficiently, minimising disruption to your home or project site.

5. Final Sign-Off‍

Once the site visit is complete, we finalise your order with exact specifications — ready for your window or door manufacturing and installation.

Why the Site Survey Matters

A site survey is much more than taking quick measurements. It’s about planning your installation so everything runs smoothly. During this stage, we:

• Take precise measurements of all window and door openings to guarantee a perfect fit
• Check structural details to ensure frames will be secure and compliant with building regulations
• Assess site access to plan for delivery and installation, avoiding disruption on the day
• Identify potential challenges early so they can be resolved before production begins
• Confirm your final window or door design choices so what’s manufactured matches your exact requirements

Windows & Doors for Homeowners, Architects & Developers

We understand every project is different:

• Homeowners benefit from reassurance that their new windows and doors will fit perfectly and look exactly as expected.
• Architects get accurate data to keep projects compliant and on spec.
• Developers gain a reliable partner who can survey multiple plots efficiently and keep projects on schedule.
